Acronicta cinerea is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found from northern Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, the Baltic, Norway, southern Finland, Belarus, Ukraine, western Russia up to Uralsk and Guberli.

Some authors consider Acronicta cinerea a synonym of Acronicta euphorbiae

Foodplants

The primary larval foodplants are Bog-myrtle (Myrica gale), Common Ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris), Common Sorrel (Rumex acetosa), Creeping Willow (Salix repens), dandelions (Taraxacum spp.), Eared Willow (Salix aurita), Heather (Calluna vulgaris), Honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum), Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), Ribwort Plantain (Plantago lanceolata), Sea Campion (Silene uniflora), Sea Plantain (Plantago maritima), Thrift (Armeria maritima) and Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus).
